Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Client Services plays a pivotal role in the Services division, leading multiple teams to successfully execute projects for our clientele. This individual is a seasoned expert in the field, acting as the primary business resource for high-level clients. The role requires the ability to manage several intricate projects concurrently while collaborating effectively with various management levels and staff to align with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap aimed at increasing revenue, distinguishing our offerings in the marketplace, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring alignment with the overarching business goals of SmarTek21.
  • Lead the Services team with an emphasis on refining and expanding the solutions offered in the market, as well as overseeing SmarTek21 product platforms from engineering, delivery, program management, and technological perspectives.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to showcase our capabilities and services, thereby creating opportunities for new business ventures.
  • Foster robust relationships with senior clients, providing counsel and establishing trust as a reliable advisor.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing and prospective applications within client organizations.
  • Assess applications to ensure they align with strategic business objectives.
  • Oversee the formulation of high-level software solutions through exceptional functional and technical expertise, as well as an understanding of enterprise business systems and industry requirements.
  • Direct the design of updated business processes, evaluating the effectiveness of current procedures.
  • Drive the vision of the group, managing the development and execution of the solutions roadmap based on established strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other departments to manage the entire application implementation lifecycle, ensuring all specifications are met.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of clients' businesses and industries, proactively addressing opportunities and challenges as they arise.
  • Instill a culture of excellence, proposing requirements for solutions and development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses, and coordinating timelines with engineering and other stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction throughout the software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, and support, while fostering a culture of accountability to achieve business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Attract, nurture, engage, and retain talent within the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing skill enhancement and career development for team members, providing continuous mentoring and effective governance through status reporting to clients and management.
  • Partner with other departmental leaders to align and execute strategies essential for business success.
  • Manage functional budgets and schedules within the group to meet company requirements.
  • Contribute to interprofessional team-based care within the Delivery practice.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise employees within the department.
  • Indirectly oversee employees across various departments.
  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 20 years of progressive experience in engineering, delivery, solution management, program management, and technology.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years in a leadership role within IT professional service delivery in complex environments.
  • Experience managing teams of over 300 across the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with digital technology areas such as Cloud, DevOps, Web App Development, Mobile App Development, and UI/UX.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for business improvement and growth.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful results to meet client needs.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating information and metrics to develop informed business cases.
  • Financial analytical capabilities to enhance solution strategies and performance.
  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously and leading projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability in people management, motivating and managing diverse project teams.
  • Experience in skill enhancement and career planning for both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and demands through analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Diverse experience across both small and large service and product companies is advantageous.
