Senior Community Support Specialist

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Community Support Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing direct services to individuals in community and group living environments, promoting their overall health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with individuals to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization, and develop skills impacted by mental illness.
- Collaborate with housing coordinators to assist individuals in finding safe and affordable housing.
- Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities.
- Carry out assigned interventions and action steps of the treatment plan, providing direct support and rehabilitation services to individuals.
- Participate in medication administration and help individuals access reliable transportation.
- Assist with supervision of Community Support Specialists.
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree required, Master's or Doctoral degrees in human services related field preferred.
- Skills: Must have a Driver's license, MAP and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire.
