Enrollment Management Specialist

Position Summary: The Enrollment Management Specialist plays a crucial role in generating local interest, overseeing the recruitment and enrollment process, and ensuring student and family retention. The primary duties involve enhancing awareness of Phalen Leadership Academies, advocating for the institution, attracting applicants, and cultivating relationships with families throughout the enrollment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and sustain long-term relationships with families to promote engagement and support within the community.
  • Achieve full enrollment by the start of the academic year.
  • Implement recruitment strategies targeting families with school-aged children in designated areas.
  • Effectively manage the enrollment territory, pinpointing critical recruitment areas and building a strong community presence through strategic partnerships.
  • Position the institution as the leading charter school in the region, fostering these partnerships year-round for ongoing engagement.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and community resource by mastering the details of the Phalen Leadership Academies model, ensuring families are well-informed about the programs offered.
  • Engage with the community through presentations at local organizations.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts, including door-to-door initiatives in neighborhoods near the schools.
  • Organize enrollment events to attract prospective families and disseminate enrollment information.
  • Facilitate the application process, ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Monitor application quality proactively and address issues promptly to support a smooth application experience for parents.
  • Track and document progress consistently, providing accurate reports that reflect daily updates and ensure timely submissions to meet enrollment objectives.
  • Complete all enrollment milestones on schedule and to target.
  • Maintain relationships with current families to achieve high re-enrollment rates, managing the re-registration process with effective communication and follow-up.
  • Ensure new families are onboarded effectively from the application stage with ongoing communications and invitations to informational events.
  • Collaborate with campus staff on recruitment and engagement initiatives to welcome and build relationships with new families.
  • Exhibit strong time management and planning skills, keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges.
  • Maintain accountability by regularly updating supervisors on enrollment activities and progress towards goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, sales, or business development in a remote environment.
  • Community Insight: Deep understanding of the campus community and its unique needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to connect with parents regarding educational matters.
  • Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred but not mandatory.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
