About the Role: The Student Enrollment Coordinator is pivotal in generating local interest, overseeing the recruitment and enrollment processes, and ensuring the ongoing engagement of students and their families. This role involves enhancing awareness of Phalen Leadership Academies, advocating for the institution, attracting applicants, and cultivating relationships with families throughout the enrollment journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture enduring relationships with families to enhance community engagement and support.
- Achieve 100% enrollment by the first day of school.
- Implement recruitment strategies targeting families with school-aged children within designated areas.
- Effectively manage the enrollment territory, pinpointing key recruitment areas and building a strong community presence through strategic partnerships.
- Position the institution as the leading charter school in the region, maintaining and developing partnerships throughout the year for sustained engagement.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and community resource by mastering the Phalen Leadership Academies model, ensuring families are well-informed about available programs.
- Engage the community through presentations at various local organizations.
- Participate in community outreach initiatives to connect with families near the schools.
- Organize enrollment events to attract prospective families and provide essential enrollment information.
- Facilitate the application process, ensuring high-quality submissions.
- Monitor application quality proactively and resolve issues promptly to support families in the application process.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and provide timely reports to meet enrollment goals.
- Complete all enrollment milestones on schedule and to established goals.
- Foster relationships with current families to achieve a 90% re-enrollment rate, managing the re-registration process effectively.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new families from application through to orientation.
- Collaborate with campus staff on recruitment and engagement activities to welcome and support new families.
- Exhibit strong time management and planning skills, keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges.
- Regularly update supervisors on enrollment activities and progress towards goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, sales, or business development in a remote environment.
- Community Insight: In-depth knowledge of the local community and its specific needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with parents and families regarding educational matters.
- Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred but not mandatory.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
