The Commercial Insurance and Data Entry Specialist III plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle management processes. This position is responsible for verifying commercial insurance enrollment for all staff, submitting updated rosters to commercial funders as required, and ensuring timely entry of data collected for psychological testing into our electronic health records system. Additionally, this role will verify and update third-party insurance information in MISTICC and assist other RCM staff with client collections.
Key Responsibilities- Verify commercial insurance daily as needed by programs.
- Manage commercial psychological testing verification and collection process.
- Update client demographic information in our EHR and verify client demographics.
- Apply for commercial funder enrollment as new eligible staff start with TCC.
- Ensure all follow-up by staff is complete as related to the enrollment process for third-party funders.
- Complete all Commercial funder rosters as required by plans.
- Process client collections daily.
- Process DWIHN psychological testing authorizations.
- Develop performance goals and expectations with immediate supervisor annually.
- High school graduate or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
- 1-year previous data entry experience.
- 1 year experience with electronic health records.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in posting client payments.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time.
- 1-year experience in commercial insurance enrollment.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate it with a diverse population.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture that demonstrates evidence of high accountability, inclusivity, and collaboration.
- Demonstrate a commitment to anti-racist practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Actively support and encourage creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive administrative and service delivery environments.
- Adhere to best practices, ethical standards, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must provide clearance that there is no record and/or convictions as a perpetrator of child abuse/and or neglect on the State of MI Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry.
