Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist to join our team at Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center. As a Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and improving all aspects of the Revenue Cycle. Your duties will include monitoring Revenue Cycle systems, analyzing revenue, providing education, and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple financial analyst job assignments in the Central Business Office
  • Accountable for various Patient Financial Services activities, including insurance verification and point of service collection
  • Analyze front-end delays and problems related to billing and revenue cycle processes
  • Monitor and improve the insurance verification and point of service collection process

Enrollment and Credentialing:

Lead and assist with maintaining enrollment paperwork for ongoing projects. Compile and update documentation for each facility, respond to payer requests for accuracy, and coordinate with credentialing and contracting teams for enrollments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • One to two years of related revenue cycle experience, preferably in hospital financial services or patient service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems
