Position Overview: As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the success of our food program and oversee culinary operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting in all aspects of planning, procurement, inventory management, and food preparation. You will ensure compliance with client culture, health regulations, and our standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation and cooking of diverse food items.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Implement new culinary initiatives in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
- Manage cost controls and monitor expenditures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of food industry trends with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and presentation.
- Ability to create and distribute production schedules.
- Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, training, and coaching skills.
- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
