Position Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively looking for candidates to fill the role of Healthcare Operations Supervisor within our Operations team. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily reception operations at assigned locations, identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth departmental functioning.
  • Oversee the hiring and performance management processes for front desk and reception staff, including interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure efficient patient check-in processes, verifying demographic and insurance information, directing patients appropriately, and collecting upfront payments.
  • Collaborate with fellow Site Managers to communicate policies and procedures for patient handling at reception locations.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the reception department, ensuring budgetary goals are met.
  • Share on-call Coordinator duties on a scheduled basis.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing schedules for effective operations and assist in daily staffing solutions.
  • Conduct training for new reception and front desk hires, providing ongoing education on process updates.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster cooperative relationships with providers and staff.
  • Exhibit self-direction, motivation, and strong organizational skills, emphasizing tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and confidentiality.
  • Possess knowledge of regulatory compliance standards.
  • Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with computer systems and software, including MS Office.
  • Ability to create and interpret various documents and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with physician scheduling software, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and payroll/timekeeping systems.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational management, or a related field, or 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership and management experience in healthcare settings, with a focus on strategic and operational management.
  • Preferred experience in managing healthcare staffing.
