Position Title: Clinical Nursing Team Supervisor

Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Night Shift

Shift Hours:
7 PM - 7 AM

Job Overview:
The Clinical Nursing Team Supervisor is responsible for delivering direct patient care while serving as the charge nurse, ensuring a secure and therapeutic environment for patients.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
  • Completion of charge nurse training and competencies (if hired externally, must be completed within 90 days).
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a compact license.
  • Certifications in Clinical Courses (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, etc.) relevant to the specific clinical area.
  • Possession of Advanced Specialty Certification or commitment to obtain within two years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Develops staffing plans based on patient needs and oversees daily operations during the assigned shift.
  • Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to meet the financial objectives of the unit.
  • Facilitates efficient patient flow, ensuring timely admissions and discharges.
  • Assists management in achieving departmental and organizational goals, including patient experience and quality measures.
  • Engages in departmental initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Participates in peer interviews and provides feedback for employee evaluations as needed.
  • Assists with incident investigations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
