Position Overview:
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for delivering clinical guidance and mentorship to agency direct care personnel, ensuring compliance with agency protocols and federal and state regulations. This role acts as a bridge between clinical and operational teams, as well as between the Agency, healthcare facilities, and the broader community. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will also administer direct, skilled nursing care to clients as directed by physicians and in accordance with state nursing regulations and agency policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support and supervision to ensure adherence to agency standards and regulations.
- Conduct supervisory visits and comprehensive assessments as per agency policy.
- Mentor and train new nursing staff in both office and home environments.
- Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage and oversee the delivery of compliant care by direct care staff.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain up-to-date nursing knowledge.
- Facilitate communication between direct care staff and external healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure in the state.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare experience, with at least two years in home health preferred.
- Strong supervisory and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical and Work Environment:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Work is conducted in various settings, including private residences.
- Frequent travel is required to fulfill job responsibilities.
