Overview
The role involves precise assembly of sub-electrical and mechanical components for integration into higher-level assemblies. You will construct multi-tier assemblies following detailed instructions, schematics, and visual aids that adhere to IPC standards and By Light's quality requirements.

Your responsibilities will include the networking, installation, and integration of these assemblies, ensuring the final product meets By Light's specifications.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize mechanical expertise to carry out routine assembly tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating both power and hand tools within an electromechanical setting.
  • Accurately execute assembly builds from moderate to complex schematics and work instructions.
  • Effectively complete assembly builds on fundamental to moderate first article assemblies, adhering to Raydon's quality and IPC workmanship standards.
  • Achieve and maintain IPC certifications for the latest revisions of 620 & J standards.
  • Perform soldering and crimping processes with small gauge wiring.
  • Exhibit a moderate level of computer skills.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electro-mechanical failure modes.
  • Utilize testing equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Engage in a culture of continuous improvement, participating in initiatives that enhance products and processes.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with the ability to complete on-the-job training and perform well in evaluations.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Assembler I or II for a minimum of 3-12 months.
  • Basic to moderate experience in wire routing using IPC 620 standards.
  • Proven experience in constructing electro-mechanical assemblies following established workmanship standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of By Light's assembly processes and standards.
  • Willingness to learn crimping, soldering, and electro-mechanical assembly techniques, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Capability to pass and retain IPC certifications for the latest revision J standards within the first six months of employment.
  • Successful completion of IPC 620 certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous IPC certifications and wiring experience.

Physical Requirements:
The employee must regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role also requires sitting and occasionally climbing or balancing, as well as using hands to touch and reach overhead. Frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds unassisted is required, with occasional assistance in moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include color perception, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. There may be exposure to hazardous materials.

The work environment is primarily climate-controlled, with occasional exposure to non-climate-controlled settings. Employees may face risks associated with electrical components, and the noise level in the manufacturing area is generally low to moderate.
