Overview
The Electromechanical Assembly Supervisor operates with limited oversight to conduct assembly and sub-assembly repairs, builds, and enhancements by adhering to established Assembly Instructions and interpreting technical drawings.

Utilize a solid understanding of applicable IPC standards, craftsmanship, and quality benchmarks to ensure the production of superior products.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure product compliance with documented procedures to maintain high-quality standards throughout various production phases.
  • Provide clear written and verbal guidance, interpret engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and connector specifications, while executing assembly tasks on diverse boards, wires, and harnesses.
  • Employ basic hand tools, crimping devices, and soldering equipment with precision.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in electro-mechanical assembly to tackle routine and complex tasks effectively.
  • Accurately complete assembly builds from moderate to intricate drawings and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with teams and engineering to communicate process enhancements and product improvement opportunities.
  • Exhibit moderate computer skills with a strong understanding of computer hardware.
  • Diagnose electro-mechanical failures and work with internal stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize testing equipment to confirm product quality and reliability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean metrics reporting.
  • Engage with team members and support teams to share knowledge and drive ongoing improvements in products and processes.
  • Demonstrate soldering and crimping capabilities for various wire sizes and assemble/solder PCBs, including through-hole and surface mount technologies.
  • Act as a mentor and trainer, providing on-the-job training to junior assemblers to promote teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Effectively complete assembly builds on complex first article assemblies.

Additional Duties:
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings.
  • Monitor product line metrics.
  • Guide assembly team members to achieve daily performance goals.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electro/Mechanical II or relevant experience demonstrating proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly and rework within a manufacturing or repair setting.
  • Proficient in navigating online documents, drawings, and instructions using a personal computer.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical work instructions.
  • Experience in soldering per IPC J standards.
  • Capability to perform a variety of tasks to assemble, rework, and modify electronic and electromechanical products, including working from diagrams and drawings.
  • Experience with hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, and soldering irons.
  • Prior experience in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing context.

Special Requirements:
Candidates must meet the definition of U.S. Persons as outlined in ITAR regulations.

Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 35 pounds unassisted and occasionally assist in moving items up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include color perception, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is primarily climate-controlled, with occasional exposure to non-climate-controlled settings and the risk of electrical shock. Noise levels in the manufacturing area are generally low to moderate.
