General Overview:

As the Manager of Shared Accounting, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, compliant, and high-quality accounting services to the facilities managed by Troon and their stakeholders. You will establish standard operating procedures, provide training, and oversee transitions within Shared Accounting. Your role will involve direct management of the Shared Accounting team located at our corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ. You will lead the team, direct operations, and drive strategic initiatives for the growth of Shared Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee client accounting functions; lead a team of Shared Accountants dedicated to supporting Troon's managed facilities with comprehensive accounting services. Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and timeliness of operations.
  • Foster the development of team members; plan and direct work activities; engage in active performance management and career development.
  • Act as a technical expert; guide the team in ensuring that reporting adheres to GAAP and complies with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to formulate and implement strategies that enhance service quality, technology integration, and internal controls. Develop SOPs that clearly delineate responsibilities among team roles for each tier of Shared Accounting services.
  • Design and execute strategies for employee retention, cross-training, and recruitment.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures that reflect the Company's service excellence.
  • Manage accounting transitions for new contracts; work closely with transition leaders to ensure a seamless integration process.
  • Conduct periodic visits to managed properties and regional offices.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance, along with 4-6 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in HOA accounting is advantageous.

Travel Requirements:
  • Approximately 10% travel may be required.
Certifications:

CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and direct workflows.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with accounting software applications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is a plus.
