Job Summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Geologist to join our team as a Project Manager or Project Technical Specialist. As a key member of our Environmental team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to environmental assessment, remediation, and site characterization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including developing cost proposals, work plans, and execution strategies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols, including providing health and safety support to field staff.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee and manage subcontractors, including drilling subcontractors, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders, including providing regular project updates and progress reports.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, including developing and implementing training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, including experience with logging, coring, and well installation.
  • Certifications: California Professional License (Professional Geologist - PG) required; OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training completed and up to date.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment; experience with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with MS Project a plus.
