Position Overview

The Kansas Action for Children is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of children and families across the state. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Senior Vice President of Quality Management to lead our quality initiatives.

Role Summary

The Senior Vice President of Quality Management is a key executive responsible for the oversight and execution of quality assurance strategies within the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that our services and processes consistently meet or surpass established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy that promotes collaboration and evidence-based practices across all departments.
  • Quality Improvement: Create and execute annual quality improvement plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and readiness for assessments.
  • Clinical Excellence: Monitor and report on clinical outcomes, serving as a consultant to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Collaboration: Foster partnerships with external organizations to uphold quality standards and enhance service delivery.
  • Safety Culture: Lead initiatives that promote a culture of safety and continuous learning within the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements and lead internal quality assessments.
  • Data and Analytics: Support the use of data analytics to drive quality improvements and optimize health information systems.

Qualifications

Education: A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of senior management experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and overseeing patient safety programs. Proficiency in improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean is preferred.
