About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Objects Developer to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building data management and business intelligence modeling and reporting using the SAP BusinessObjects platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex Business Objects Universes using IDT
  • Validate reports, dashboards, and cubes with other developers
  • Ensure systems and solutions are well-documented
  • Perform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and programming
  • Utilize Web Intelligence 4.3 to create templates and modeling
  • Identify and activate Business Data into defined data model/universe
  • Investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing
  • Conducting user training, coaching internal team members
  • Provide various solutions in report level while upstream data cannot be handled to satisfy report requirement
  • Write complex queries and procedure/functions and Performance tune complex SQL queries
  • Provide support in various testing phases including but not limited to integration testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) & implementation activities
Requirements
  • Minimum eight years of Business Objects suite development / design experience
  • Minimum eight years' experience with the SAP Business Objects product suite, specifically focused on web intelligence reports and Business Objects Universes
  • Strong SQL knowledge, able to write complex queries
  • Good understanding of different testing methodologies and how to execute them
  • Extensive knowledge on Derived Tables, Aggregate Awareness, Joins and Contexts
  • Strong analytical, problem-identification/solving skills, strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and must be able to articulate work to senior management
