Senior Business Objects Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Objects Developer to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building data management and business intelligence modeling and reporting using the SAP BusinessObjects platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing complex Business Objects Universes using IDT
- Validating reports, dashboards, and cubes with other developers
- Ensuring systems and solutions are well-documented
- Performing analysis and design, writing technical specifications, configuration, and programming
- Utilizing Web Intelligence 4.3 to create templates and modeling
- Identifying and activating Business Data into defined data model/universe
- Investigating all reported problems/errors and initiating amendments and testing
- Conducting user training and coaching internal team members
- Providing various solutions in report level while upstream data cannot be handled to satisfy report requirements
- Writing complex queries and procedures/functions and performance tuning complex SQL queries
- Providing support in various testing phases, including integration testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT), and implementation activities
Requirements include:
- Minimum eight years of Business Objects suite development/design experience
- Minimum eight years' experience with the SAP Business Objects product suite, specifically focused on web intelligence reports and Business Objects Universes
- Strong SQL knowledge, able to write complex queries
- Good understanding of different testing methodologies and how to execute them
- Extensive knowledge on Derived Tables, Aggregate Awareness, Joins, and Contexts
- Strong analytical, problem-identification/solving skills, strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate work to senior management
