Position Summary:

NDi is seeking an experienced Azure Windows/Linux Administrator with 3-5 years of expertise in managing both Windows and Linux operating systems, alongside a minimum of 3 years in an Azure cloud environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems while supporting the Azure cloud infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will work closely with other IT teams to implement and maintain hybrid cloud solutions, automate processes, and troubleshoot system issues.

Key Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • The candidate must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • This position operates in a hybrid model (remote/onsite) with onsite work required twice a week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Windows/Linux operating systems.
  • 3 years of experience in an Azure cloud environment.
  • CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent Linux certifications are required.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu), Azure services, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell and Bash, with experience in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or ARM templates.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and third-party solutions.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification is required.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure virtual machines, storage, and networking resources for both Windows and Linux operating systems within the Azure cloud environment.
  • Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure components, including virtual networks, storage accounts, and identity services.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) templates using tools like ARM, Terraform, or Bicep for automating Azure resource deployment.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance system management and deployment processes.
  • Administer and maintain both Windows Server and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) within Azure.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and health of Windows and Linux systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools.
  • Optimize resource allocation and configurations to ensure efficient operation and cost management.
  • Conduct regular updates, patch management, and security configurations for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes to improve performance, security, and reliability.
