Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IT product teams to pinpoint total cost components and utilization metrics. Monitor, evaluate, and report on costs and utilization across various products and cloud service providers. Create and sustain dashboards and reports to track spending and resource utilization. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and offer recommendations for optimization. Analyze discrepancies between actual expenditures and budgeted figures, providing insights and corrective measures. Work alongside finance and engineering teams to ensure precise financial forecasting. Seek automation opportunities within FinOps to enhance operational efficiency. Partner with engineering teams to automate cost management and reporting processes. Continuously investigate new tools and technologies that can elevate FinOps capabilities.Qualifications for Success:
Active TS//SCI with CI poly. 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or a related field. Proven expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their associated cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management). Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret complex financial data and metrics. Skilled in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Understanding of cloud economics and pricing frameworks. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.At MetroStar, we are enthusiastic about our workforce.
