Job Summary:

The Dealer Account Manager is responsible for managing a geographical territory in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) channel selling Generac and DR Power products.

This role involves managing and growing a portfolio of existing dealers and managing a pipeline of prospective dealer partners through outbound cold calls, both internal and external referrals, and conducting market research to identify the best business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the OPE industry and be able to analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth.

They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing dealers and identifying new business opportunities.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and results-driven individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing dealers and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing dealers
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products and expand market share

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of inside sales or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and identify opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of sales experience
  • Previous experience or familiarity in the outdoor power equipment industry
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems
