About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our finance and data science teams. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will work closely with senior finance and data science leaders to manage large-scale, high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior finance and data science leaders to manage large-scale, high-impact projects.
  • Provide project management support for finance, data, and marketing initiatives, including organizing kick-off meetings, taking meeting minutes, creating project plans and timelines, communicating milestones, tracking open action items, and identifying potential risks.
  • Regularly coordinate check-ins with stakeholders to provide status updates on project progress.
  • Create monthly reports and weekly slide decks in partnership with finance, marketing, and data teams, ensuring data accuracy and addressing any open questions.
  • Serve as scrum master for the data team, ensuring Agile Scrum or Kanban best practices are followed, overseeing daily scrums, backlog grooming, and providing visibility into planned work and team progress.
  • Lead/oversee planning and retrospective sessions, and ensure projects have clear estimates and deadlines.
  • Provide project leadership, work direction, and feedback while coordinating testing schedules with QA staff to maintain quality within project timelines.
  • Utilize issue-tracking software to manage project workflows and transitions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Execute product reviews and quality assurance according to company methodology and use sprint reports to monitor team velocity and goal achievement.
  • Facilitate hands-on testing sessions when necessary.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or in application development management. Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of independently managing large-scale, complex, high-impact projects that are cross-functional.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, people management, and communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating requirements between non-technical and technical staff and explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Skilled at managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing leadership updates.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in reconciliation reporting, data analysis, and metrics reporting is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
