About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the University of North Texas System. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to the Dean of the UNT Dallas College of Law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage travel arrangements and travel vouchers for the Dean
  • Assist the Dean in preparing speeches, reports, and formal responses to official inquiries
  • Maintain complex calendars and schedule appointments for the Dean
  • Brief the Dean on ongoing issues, events, and other activities that impact the College of Law
  • Create and maintain department filing systems
  • Monitor and maintain adequate levels of office supplies and administrative materials
  • Coordinate faculty, Deans Cabinet, and administrative staff meetings
  • Answer or review communications of various types and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
  • Coordinate executive communications, including those requiring a high degree of security and sensitivity
  • Respond to public inquiries and requests from within the UNT System
  • Serve as a backup to other administrative specialists and provide administrative support while positions are vacant
  • Assist with ABA and SACS accreditation visits and other special projects as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to keep complex records and prepare reports in acceptable formats
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively
  • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and terminology of assigned function
  • Supervisory skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of experience working in a higher education setting
  • Two years of experience working in a law school setting
  • Knowledge of university operating procedures, organization, and policies
  • Experience with human resources policies and procedures
  • Experience using Peoplesoft query and reporting
  • Knowledge of business principles, practices, and techniques
  • Knowledge of electronic information systems and accounting systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to act with considerable initiative and work independently
