Responsibilities:
What You'll Do


The Retail Operations Leader is tasked with formulating and executing a strategic business plan to meet the store's performance objectives, which encompass achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and enhancing omnichannel sales.

This role integrates and strategically drives sales through various channels including online platforms, print marketing, social media, mobile applications, and in-store interactions.

This position enhances revenue by equipping the store's team with knowledge of products, operational processes, sales techniques, safety protocols, store presentation, customer service, and merchandising strategies.

Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and supervise team members are essential.

Enhance customer satisfaction and boost sales by creating, planning, developing, and executing an online and community presence through engaging social media content, store events, vendor and associate presentations, and customer training sessions.

Analyze both online and physical store performance, identify opportunities, and collaborate with others to drive sales and successful initiatives for the store.

Stay informed about new skills, local competitor strategies, and retail trends, applying insights to improve your store's online and physical customer experience.

Manage and increase BOPIS (buy online, pick up in store) sales through effective teamwork with associates and customers.

In collaboration with the District Manager and store associates, evaluate operational processes, customer trends, and business outcomes to determine necessary actions to achieve business goals.

Coach and mentor management and associates to foster a high-performing team that consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and discretion in leading the team to meet or exceed store goals and strategies.

Develop and ensure quality execution of training plans, enhancing associates' capabilities, as measured by overall store performance and feedback from customers and associates.

Foster a positive, rewarding, and collaborative work environment that encourages associates to grow and supports succession planning and talent development.

Present relevant information to the District Manager and Store Support to educate about business operations, efficiencies, product performance, and customer feedback.

Act as a trusted leader with a comprehensive understanding of how initiatives impact customer experience, workload, productivity, associate engagement, and store compliance.

Adhere to the company's processes, policies, values, and mission.

Lead your team in a manner that exemplifies the leadership principles outlined in our training programs and reinforce these skills with your management team.

Manage the store budget for daily operations and initiatives to achieve business objectives related to profitability.

Enhance the associate experience through effective hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing development.

Hold the team accountable for overall performance and take action to reduce losses, minimize shrinkage, and ensure compliance with store standards.

Ensure that merchandise displays are attractive, safe, and accurately priced.

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas.

Ensure the effectiveness of technology to provide a seamless customer experience across all channels.

Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills consistently.

Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Maximize inventory management, cash control, and loss prevention techniques.

May be required to cross-train and perform additional duties as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and direct assistant managers, department managers, and store associates.

Have authority over the employment status of associates, including hiring, termination, promotions, and assignments.

Qualifications:
Essential Qualities for Success

2+ years of experience in retail management.

Outgoing self-starter who enjoys working with people.

Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and Word.

Skilled in using various computer software systems.

Ability to interact effectively with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

Capability to multitask and coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently without supervision.

Willingness to work a 50-hour workweek (10-hour shifts, 5 days per week) with varied hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Must meet federal requirements to qualify for a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and any applicable local regulations.

Ability to access and utilize in-store technology, scanning systems, and wireless handheld devices.

Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely.

Ability to complete computer-based training.

Familiarity with general office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and calculators.

Ability to operate retail scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment.

Physical Requirements
Good visual acuity.

Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack.

Close vision for computer work.

Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard.

Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times throughout the day.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all audiences (in-person or via handheld devices).
