Position Overview:


A successful Store Operations Leader will strive to achieve excellence in customer service, embodying the WOW standard at Duluth Trading Company. This involves treating customers with respect and seeking opportunities to create memorable experiences.



Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of the Duluth brand and comprehensive product knowledge to provide solution-oriented, friendly service to customers. Guide the store team to do the same.

Exemplify a high level of service and engagement while setting clear expectations for the team.

Manage floor coverage to engage customers and enhance the Duluth experience.

Ensure accurate recording of customer profile information.

Proactively address customer concerns, providing positive resolutions and empowering decision-making.

Maintain merchandise presentation in line with Visual Merchandising standards and current product messaging. Ensure the sales floor is always customer-ready.

Effectively set up sales and promotions with appropriate signage and communication.


Oversee the handling of merchandise receipts and transfers swiftly and accurately, including checking in, hanging, steaming, and visual merchandising on the sales floor.

Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld for the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.

Provide regular, clear, and constructive feedback to employees.

Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and programs while setting a positive example.

Understand, execute, and train all cash-handling and reporting functions.

Ensure all register functions are followed in the store.

Secure the store and respond to any alarms as directed.

Ensure the safety of employees and customers, communicating any concerns to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Customer-focused mindset.

Demonstrates pride in a job well done and ownership of the store.

Operates with integrity and trustworthiness.

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Collaborates effectively as part of a team.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors:
Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.

Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting – both below waist and above shoulders.

Regularly required to use repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds, with frequent lifting of up to twenty pounds. Push/pull up to 20 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.

Work in varying temperatures, especially in stockroom areas.

Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

Compensation:
$17.47/hour


Compensation is determined by various factors including education, work experience, certifications, and compliance with federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements.
