Position Overview:
The Merchandising Team Leader is accountable for upholding merchandising standards across a specified geographic region by enhancing overall supply chain efficiencies for our partners and guiding a team of frontline staff to effectively showcase a diverse range of products to key retail clients.
Collaborate with sales and delivery personnel to refine processes and boost productivity while ensuring exceptional customer service satisfaction
Apply lean management techniques to assist in training all merchandisers, focusing on proper merchandising methods, waste reduction, and adherence to Company policies and procedures
Examine and assess daily route plans and work assignments to guarantee equitable workload distribution among all team members
Utilize software systems to monitor, support, and adjust daily Merchandiser services
Assist in prioritizing work tasks for merchandisers to fulfill sales, delivery, and customer requirements
Measure and analyze task data to provide evidence-based feedback to retailers and team members regarding overall performance
Evaluate and oversee employee productivity and propose recommendations for enhancement
Undertake additional projects or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience and 0-1+ years of supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience and 1+ years of supervisory experience
Must be at least 18 years of age or meet minimum state legal age requirements
Must successfully pass a post-offer background check and drug screening
Must be capable of lifting products weighing between 25 lbs. and 50 lbs. regularly
Must possess reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license, and uphold auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law
Minimum of 1 year of merchandising experience, such as product placement and display construction, or 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse, transportation, purchasing, customer service, sales, or similar supply chain role
Accurately stock and rotate products onto shelves from backroom inventories as required
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Utilize various hardware tools and equipment necessary for POS installation, including, but not limited to, a hacksaw, drill, screwdriver, staple gun, ladders, etc.
Operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift products
Interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Communicate effectively with the manager, co-workers, and other departments on work-related matters in a timely manner
Accurately complete all records, forms, or reports
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Prior experience in the beverage industry
Familiarity with DOT regulations
