- Provide outstanding customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the management team to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
- Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and organized manner, including maintaining a high level of visual merchandising and ensuring that all products are properly stocked and displayed.
- Assist with processing sales transactions, including handling cash, credit, and financial aid payments.
- Maintain a presence on the sales floor, greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with purchases as needed.
- Assist with training and development of team members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- 2+ years' experience in a retail setting, preferably in a management or buyer role.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to match customers to products that meet their needs.
- Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Department Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products. The ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and to lift frequently is required. The Department Manager may also be required to work in a variety of environments, including a campus setting.
