Position Overview:
The University of California San Diego is seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Administrative Support Specialist to become an integral part of our Finance team.

Role Summary:
This role encompasses a diverse array of customer service and financial support responsibilities for various departments and projects within Information Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Support:
    Address customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and financial transactions, ensuring timely and professional resolution of issues.
  • Financial Processing & Research:
    Assist in the execution of financial transactions, maintaining compliance with organizational policies, and collaborating with finance analysts to resolve discrepancies.
  • Administrative Support:
    Conduct data entry tasks with precision, prepare financial documents and reports, and maintain organized financial records.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting:
    Support account reconciliations and assist in the preparation of financial statements, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of six years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, along with two years of applicable experience. Proficiency in finance policies and practices is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in general ledger reconciliation and familiarity with financial software or ERP systems is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also preferred.

This position may require flexibility in hours and locations based on organizational needs. Employment is contingent upon a background check and pre-employment physical.
