Job Description

At Addiction and Mental Health Services, LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in luggage and body searches

Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings

Maintain awareness of patient locations and document hourly checks

Ensure patients follow the Bradford Program Schedule and are on time for each assignment

Supervise and facilitate patient activities as directed

Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations as they arise

Assist patients with daily tasks and provide support as needed

Collaborate with counselors and nurses to ensure patient care and treatment goals are met

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and good driving record

Ability to walk and stand for long periods

Ability to administer CPR and be certified

Emotional and physical ability to function under stressful situations

Ability to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients

Working Conditions:

Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner

Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times

Confidentiality:

Must abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2 and 45 CFR regarding confidentiality of patient records

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a healthcare or mental health setting preferred
