Position Overview:
The Sales Assistant Manager at LL Flooring plays a crucial role in the complete sales process. This includes daily sales activities, providing support to team members, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting with warehouse and stockroom tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
The Sales Assistant Manager contributes to achieving and surpassing sales and profit targets by:

  • Guiding customers in selecting the ideal flooring solutions for their projects.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing store operations and supervising associates in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to meet their individual sales objectives.
  • Maintaining the organization of the flooring warehouse.
  • Engaging in proactive selling, including making outbound sales calls to clients and professionals.

Qualifications:
To excel as a Sales Assistant Manager, candidates should possess:

  • A strong passion for customer service and a desire for career growth.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles within sales, retail, or hospitality.
  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • An interest in home improvement and influencing flooring design choices.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to initiate conversations.
  • The capability to occasionally lift heavy items.
  • A willingness to learn and operate a forklift, with training provided.
