Location: Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, HI

Job Summary:

The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Guest Services, Concierge, and Uniformed Services/Transportation departments. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to guest requests, problems, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Motivate and coach Guest Services personnel to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze rate variance, credit reports, and daily house counts to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
  • Attend daily and monthly Rooms Merchandizing meetings to discuss sales strategies and performance.
  • Participate in the M.O.D. program and review Guest Services staff worked hours for payroll compilation.
  • Prepare employee schedules according to business forecast and productivity requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing, including no-show revenue maximization.
  • Maintain Highgate Hotel S.O.P.'s regarding Purchase Orders, vouchering of invoices, and checkbook accounting.
  • Monitor proper operation of the P.B.X. console and ensure staff greet and welcome guests according to Highgate Hotel S.O.P.'s.
  • Ensure implementation of all Highgate Hotel policies and house rules.
  • Assist in revenue and occupancy forecasting and maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Union experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work long hours as sometimes required.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $65K - $75K
