Accounting and Human Resource Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and HR Manager to join our team at WholeTrees Structures. As a key member of our finance and HR department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, working closely with the Director of Finance and HR, Controller, VP of Operations, and CEO. Your primary focus will be on managing relationships with vendors and clients to ensure the seamless delivery of our products to commercial construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, including the issuance of financial statements as assigned
- Supporting the WholeTrees Sales team with Contract Administration as Quotes flow through an established sales process into billing
- Identifying accounting and financial issues and suggesting timely solutions
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
You will also be responsible for:
- Processing payroll and assisting with internal HR/benefits alongside the third-party payroll provider
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Supporting Hiring Managers with onboarding of new candidates, including entering into the HRM system, benefits applications, and creating and maintaining employee files
- Being a resource to all team members and management with employee administration and record-keeping
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with demonstrated success in multidisciplinary teams
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and exceptional attention to detail
- A preference for fast-paced and diverse workdays where new information and changing circumstances are received with creativity, efficiency, and patience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A track record of above-average emotional intelligence and capacity to communicate needs and boundaries while coaching others to do the same
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent clerical skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Quickbooks Desktop
- Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Zoom and/or Google Meets
Compensation and Management:
Salary will be commensurate with experience. After the first 90 days of full-time employment, a full benefits package will be provided, including paid holidays, accrued paid time off, and a health benefit package. This position will work closely with the Controller, Project Management Department, Design Department, Sales Department, VP of Operations, and CEO.
