United Future is seeking a Senior Divisional Controller to oversee all accounting aspects for our fresh pork division. This role involves providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and collaborating with senior management to drive financial performance and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls, as well as excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. The Senior Divisional Controller will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the finance department. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and 5+ years of experience in an accounting leadership position within protein manufacturing, consumer product goods (CPG), or food & beverage industries. The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, and demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience leading and developing teams. The Senior Divisional Controller will work closely with divisional leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives, provide financial insights and analysis to support investment decisions, pricing strategies, and business development opportunities, and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. The role also involves preparing timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards, and presenting financial results to senior management and providing explanations for variances and trends. The Senior Divisional Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions, ensuring the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner, and auditing the work of the accounting department and ensuring proper procedures and compliance. The role requires advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and the ability to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, and copier. The Senior Divisional Controller will work in an office and plant environment, requiring the ability to sit, talk, hear, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is also required.
