We are currently seeking a Lead Auditor to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) division.


Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage the Internal Audit Plan for Lafayette Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
The Lead Auditor within AEX must possess both technical and interpersonal skills vital for effective teamwork.

Core duties include but are not limited to:

  • Formulating and executing the internal audit strategy.
  • Conducting the majority of internal audits and documenting findings.
  • Initiating corrective actions and overseeing follow-up activities.
  • Facilitating customer and third-party audits, including preparation and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Collaborating with production, metallurgical, and other relevant teams on audit-related matters.
  • Regularly completing customer quality assessments.
  • Coordinating the qualification process for quality-controlled suppliers, including developing quality standards and ensuring compliance.
  • Managing the annual evaluation process and conducting supplier audits as necessary.
  • Maintaining an updated list of approved suppliers and managing supplier risk.
  • Overseeing the corrective action process, ensuring timely completion of all actions.
  • Providing training for ARTS users.
  • Supporting Quality Systems by updating procedures and work instructions related to audits, corrective actions, and supplier quality control.
  • Analyzing data and assisting with management review presentations.
  • Informing clients of any changes to the quality system, key personnel, processes, or equipment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Access to controlled technology is required, as defined by relevant regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Quality certifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
