Job Summary

HP Development Company, L.P. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for leading complex supply chain categories and developing strategic sourcing strategies aligned with our company's vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a complex supply chain category and develop and execute sourcing strategies that contribute to the achievement of our strategic vision and goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive data and industry analysis, including cost analysis and competitive analysis, and report results to business executives to aid in data-driven decision making.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to develop procurement strategies and roadmaps that align with business growth objectives, cost reduction targets, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and utilize supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools to optimize the supply base for complex categories.
  • Liaise with stakeholder business executives to discuss the impact of supply chain strategic development on our overall business and develop forward-thinking supply chain strategies.
  • Influence the industry or marketplace for complex categories and engage with market leaders.
  • Lead complex supplier selection activities, negotiate acceptable contracting outcomes, and complete contracts with highly complex and critical suppliers.
  • Support senior management in demand and supply matching activities, connecting strategy to execution and identifying issues and their impact.
  • Hold responsibility for day-to-day operations of the most complex, long-term suppliers and partner with them in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building.
  • Identify complex or emerging contract risk areas using cause and effect thinking, advise executive-level business leaders on all contract risk areas, and develop strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operations improvement.
Requirements
  • Four-year or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
