Position Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be essential in supporting our procurement functions across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.

  • Manage the procurement, leasing, and delivery of raw materials, services, and equipment.
  • Oversee contract management for various facilities, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance operational workflows and facilitate consolidation efforts.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports to guide strategic decisions.
  • Act as a backup for procurement activities across multiple sites.
  • Assist in conducting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to obtain competitive bids.
  • Support contract negotiations to secure favorable terms.
  • Evaluate vendor qualifications based on pricing, quality, and service standards.
  • Gather multiple quotes for purchases exceeding specified thresholds.
  • Coordinate with departments to manage routine purchases and specific material needs.
  • Maintain purchasing procedures aligned with financial and quality management objectives.
  • Develop new procedures as necessary to meet the facility's purchasing requirements.
  • Ensure all purchases receive appropriate approvals in line with company policies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Stay informed on Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and support the company's commitment to continual improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Science, Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, or Economics.
  • 6 months to 1+ years of experience in Procurement or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with business application software and resource planning systems.
