Position Summary

The Procurement Category Specialist will be responsible for strategic sourcing, managing contracts, and overseeing supplier relationships within the Global Procurement division. This role is crucial as we expand our operations and will involve sourcing various materials and services, including but not limited to, pipe fittings, rental equipment, and corporate support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for assigned categories, staying informed on market trends and best practices.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the categories under management.
  • Lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including stakeholder engagement, spend analysis, and supplier evaluations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to establish contracts that align with business objectives.
  • Manage complex service agreements and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, utilizing performance metrics to enhance collaboration.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior procurement staff as needed.
  • Commit to safety and ethical practices in all procurement activities.
