We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Documentation Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.
Job Summary:The Clinical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure that they accurately reflect the patient's clinical picture. This will involve working closely with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and ensuring that all relevant information is included in the patient's record.
Responsibilities:- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation
- Ensure that all relevant information is included in the patient's record
- Partner with the coding team to ensure accurate ICD-10, NS-DRG, and APR-DRG assignment
- Provide education and feedback to healthcare providers to improve documentation quality
- Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Active WA or Compact RN license required
- AS of Nursing required, BLS of Nursing or healthcare preferred
- 2-3 years Clinical Documentation Integrity experience in acute care setting
- Experience as an RN in acute care setting within the last 5 years
