Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a highly skilled clinician who provides expert care to patients in a specialized area. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, as well as the ability to teach, mentor, and consult with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert consultation to all care providers
- Implement improvements in healthcare delivery systems
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff
- Conduct research to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care
- Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC)
- Currently enrolled in a Master's, DNP, or Ph.D. clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC)
- Washington Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years registered nursing experience in area of specialty
- Current certification as a CNS
- Current certification in area of specialty
- 2 years clinical leadership responsibility
