Columbus, Ohio, United States Kipp Full time
Company Overview

KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, is a nationwide network of free, open enrollment, college preparatory public schools committed to equipping students in underserved communities for success in both higher education and life. With 285 KIPP schools across the country and the District of Columbia, we serve over 175,000 students and alumni through the dedication of more than 15,000 educators.

Established in 2008 with just 50 students in 5th grade, KIPP Columbus now provides education to over 2,000 students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our mission is to collaborate with families and the community to create joyful, academically excellent schools that empower students with the skills and confidence to pursue their chosen paths—whether that be college, career, or beyond. KIPP has consistently demonstrated excellence in its growth and aims to enhance that standard, showcasing what is achievable in public education.

KIPP Columbus has achieved remarkable academic outcomes, particularly in our early literacy program, where over 80% of kindergarten and first-grade students finished the last school year reading at grade level. Furthermore, in our first four graduating classes, 100% of students graduated, and a significant percentage were accepted into college or military service.

Beyond academic excellence, KIPP Columbus collaborates with nearly 100 community organizations to offer extracurricular activities, programming, health and wellness services, meals, and more to KIPP students, families, and the wider community. Our learning campus is set to advance student learning, expand partnerships, and serve as a teaching and leadership laboratory for schools nationwide, reimagining education through a lens of antiracism, excellence, and joy as we aim to educate nearly 4,000 students in the coming years.
