Your Role

This position is based in Washington State and involves supporting a Sales Director or Regional Sales Manager. As a vital member of our sales team, you will focus on:

  • Sales Growth: Drive the introduction and placement of new products with key customers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned key customers through regular communication regarding pricing, product availability, and order management.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed about Smithfield's product management and R&D initiatives to effectively address customer needs and enhance sales opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Achieve budgeted sales targets for consumer goods with key accounts.
  • Develop strategies to maximize sales volume while maintaining existing business relationships.
  • Address customer service issues promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support to fellow sales associates as needed.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of the Consumer Packaged Goods industry dynamics.
  • Proficiency in customer-focused selling techniques, including familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
