Position Overview: The role of the Service & Support Administration (SSA) Manager involves specialized work in the management and oversight of Service and Support Administrators (SSA). This position is crucial in facilitating, coordinating, and continuously evaluating individualized plans for children and adults with developmental disabilities, promoting a person-centered approach.

As a representative of the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the incumbent is expected to adhere to all Board policies, demonstrating respect for and supporting the dignity and rights of all individuals served, while being sensitive to diverse beliefs, cultures, values, and family structures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with the SSA Rule and SSA position functions.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a SSA Management certification.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, community partners, provider agencies, state agencies, and other County Boards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and adherence to the Riverside Code of Conduct.
  • Successful completion of criminal background and Abuser Registry checks, pre-employment drug test, and possession of a valid State of Ohio driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general management, leadership, and supervision of SSA Department performance and development.
  • Review SSA Department members' work schedules, leave requests, and timesheets.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for SSAs.
  • Review and approve documentation related to individual services, including individual service plans and fiscal requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Meet requirements for reimbursement for applicable activities for Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC).
  • Communicate with internal and external entities to coordinate efforts, resolve issues, minimize duplication of services, ensure health and welfare, and promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Conduct team meetings and participate in regularly scheduled department meetings.
  • Keep the SSA Director informed of agency, departmental, and staff matters.
  • Provide secondary on-call coverage as required.
  • Manage special projects and caseload assignments.
  • Oversee waiting list assessment management.
  • Coordinate and participate in various councils, task forces, or committees.
  • Participate in interviews and make hiring recommendations.
  • Plan and lead various training sessions.
  • Review and manage guidelines for Individual Service Plans.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation: $28.64/hour or $59,575/year, depending on qualifications.
