Head of Sales - Cannabis Industry

Viridian Staffing's client is seeking an experienced sales professional to lead their sales team in the New Mexico market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing a team of sales account executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a geographically dispersed sales team to exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the number of retailers carrying the product throughout the state
  • Manage and train sales account executives to improve their sales skills and knowledge of the company's brand
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with New Mexico cannabis compliance laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a sales professional
  • 2+ years of experience leading a sales team
  • 1+ year of experience in cannabis industry sales leadership
  • Proven experience motivating sales teams to exceed revenue targets
  • Microsoft Office or Google suite experience
  • Understanding of and passion to learn the variables found across different cannabis products
  • Exceptional client relationship building and written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of New Mexico cannabis compliance laws
