About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our dynamic team at ViaSat. As a key member of our Corporate Accounting department, you will be responsible for leading our procure-to-pay operations and ensuring the efficient processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of daily tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the procure-to-pay cycle, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system updates and process changes in support of global initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, schedules, and presentations to support audit requirements and cross-training efforts.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in procure-to-pay operations, with a focus on process improvement and leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience in a people management position, with a proven track record of coaching and developing team members.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining automated accounts payable systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to produce high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and other accounting software, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
