Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of collaborative work within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices with proper approval, purchase order, and verification of coding.
  • Prepare invoices for weekly payment runs.
  • Execute weekly payment runs.
  • Assist in month-end processes, including journal entries, reclasses, and reconciliations.
  • Support supplier onboarding and ACH enrollment processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide problem and invoice resolution assistance to vendors and internal company personnel.
  • Prepare analyses related to Accounts Payable to support audit requirements and cross-training efforts.
  • Develop process and desktop procedures.
Requirements
  • 1-4 years of experience in accounts payable in a large public company environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Account reconciliation and journal entry/review experience.
  • Experience working with accounting and financial reporting systems, and SOX compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Organized and meticulous attention to detail, superb time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP.
  • Ability to work independently and with others with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining automated accounts payable systems.
