Payroll Coordinator

Our Western Suburbs client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented payroll professional to cover a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have a knack for problem-solving, thrive under deadlines, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and upload employee data, including hourly/salary data and tax data, using the Oracle payroll system.
  • Work with the payroll team to meet published deadlines for payroll processing.
  • Process and distribute checks for a multi-state payroll using an in-house Oracle system.
  • Handle incoming inquiries from Human Resources contacts and employees regarding payroll issues.
  • Provide backup support to other team members in the payroll department.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree preferred, accounting coursework a plus.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • Customer service-oriented with a commitment to timely and professional customer service.
  • Experience with Lawson or an automated payroll system is preferred.
  • Proven experience in handling highly confidential and highly sensitive information.
