Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for supervising Warehouse Supervisors and personnel to ensure operational excellence in alignment with established business process compliance and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Guarantees that daily operations are executed as planned.
  • Supports the Assistant General Manager in troubleshooting, assessing effectiveness, and suggesting alternatives for work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to ensure accurate and timely movement and processing of goods; manages to optimize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops Warehouse Supervisors to enhance performance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and counseling of staff to provide continuous support and development. Utilizes leadership skills to establish goals for frontline teams and offers regular performance feedback through various management resources, including direct observations.
  • Oversees hourly employees to ensure adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Disciplinary Guidelines/Work Rules, and Attendance Policy.
  • Exemplifies, leads, and promotes a culture of safety leadership and recognition, alongside all key initiatives related to core values, to foster a positive work environment. Ensures full implementation of Safety Programs and compliance with State and Federal Regulations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in leading an operations team.
  • Experience in customer service leadership, foodservice or route sales operations, performance management, and training and development of frontline managers/personnel is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain DOT certification for operating DOT-regulated vehicles.
  • Strong client interaction, communication, organizational/time management, multitasking, detail-oriented, accuracy-driven, and proficient computer skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently is also crucial.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and experience with perishable products is required.
  • Industry experience should include vending, food service, route distribution (e.g., uniform distribution or customer products), and retail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts in a 24/7 operational environment is necessary.
