Job Summary

As a key member of the Tatte Holdings LLC team, the Bakery Logistics Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery logistics. This includes overseeing all non-production functions, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and managing inventory and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards in the bakery, including food safety and sanitation, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Assist the Bakery Operations Manager in staffing, onboarding, managing, and developing team members, including drivers, sanitation, receiving, and maintenance team members.
  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory management of raw materials and other items necessary for bakery operations.
  • Lead weekly inventory counting and assist in troubleshooting variances with the bakery leadership team.
  • Partner with the Bakery Operations Manager to manage labor expenses and waste, and oversee logistics to and from our cafes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with cafe managers and provide prompt and regular customer service via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and operate in compliance with state laws.
  • Resolve issues raised by cafe management in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the Bakery Facilities & Equipment Technician and Tatte Facilities team to oversee all bakery repair and maintenance issues.
  • Promote and maintain Tatte culture and ensure all Tatte policies are adhered to.
  • Actively participate in management meetings to ensure effective and accurate communication of all relevant product and operational information.
  • Maintain understanding of and follow crisis management procedures.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and able to drive Tatte delivery trucks as needed.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • 2+ years of experience in medium- to large-scale foodservice settings.
  • Experience leading a driving, receiving, and/or sanitation team.
  • Understanding and effective management of regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA inspections, Health Dept., EPA, City and County Inspectors).
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining quality systems and programs.
  • Experience building and mentoring high-performance teams.
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) highly preferred.
