Facilities Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager and coordinate and optimize overhaul and preventive maintenance activities across all production lines. This role will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the plant's maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Maintenance Plan: Create and execute a 3-5 year overhaul plan for the facility, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Schedule and manage maintenance work, including ordering parts and kitting components, to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Enhance Preventive Maintenance: Identify opportunities for improvement, develop standardized procedures, and track completion rates to ensure the highest level of maintenance quality.
- Manage Maintenance Records and Data: Utilize the Capital Asset Management system to maintain accurate records and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Vendors and Purchasing: Secure cost-effective quotes for plant projects and planned work, ensuring alignment with company standards and budget.
- Implement Organized Parts Storage: Develop and implement a parts storage strategy that aligns with company standards, ensuring efficient and effective parts management.
- Support Maintenance Team: Provide support to the Maintenance Lead and Inventory Clerk as needed, ensuring seamless maintenance operations.
- Develop and Implement Checklists: Create and implement checklists to ensure thorough job completion, ensuring the highest level of maintenance quality.
- Optimize Maintenance Processes: Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize processes and reduce waste, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Track and Analyze Key Performance Indicators: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance department and facility, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals.
- Monitor and Address Preventive Maintenance Tasks: Track and address any overdue preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and Maintain Employee Training Programs: Create and maintain employee training programs and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and Maintain Standard Work Instructions: Create and maintain standard work instructions and procedures, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Equipment Manuals and Procedures: Maintain a comprehensive library of equipment manuals and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Permits: Manage quality, food safety, environmental, and regulatory permits related to plant utilities and critical control points (CCPs), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field: A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 Years of Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance planning role within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong Knowledge of Maintenance Planning Principles: Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and practices is required.
- Proficiency in Computer Software Applications: Proficiency in using computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
