As a Construction & Community Engagement Associate, you will contribute to the construction of affordable homes for families in need while fostering strong relationships within our community. Your responsibilities will encompass both hands-on construction work and engaging with volunteers and partners.
Responsibilities- Assist skilled tradespeople in various aspects of home construction, including framing, roofing, siding, and finishing.
- Supervise and guide volunteer teams, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, volunteers, and homeowners.
- Promote Habitat for Humanity Spokane's mission and programs through outreach and engagement activities.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong work ethic, a commitment to our mission, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment.
- Experience in home building or renovation projects is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
