Job Title: Construction Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team at Habitat for Humanity Spokane. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our homes, ensuring that they are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the construction process, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Supervise a team of construction staff, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
  • Ensure that all construction work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor and control costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including design, procurement, and finance, to ensure that construction projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide training and support to construction staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance and support to construction staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that construction projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that all construction work is completed in accordance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team of construction staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve complex construction-related issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
